Privacy Notice:
1. From the 25th May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be in place, replacing the current 1998 Data Protection Act.
2. At present we hold the following personal data of each Club member: name, postal address, email address and contact telephone numbers.
3. This information is used:-:
A. To keep a record of the Club membership.
B. To distribute material for committee meetings and the A.G.M.or newsletters, information and details about concerts and all other necessary communications.
C. For the Membership Secretary and Treasurer to use to keep records of subscriptions and Club door access key distribution and rentals.
D. For other committee members on a Need to know basis.
4. These details will not be disclosed to any other body without your consent, but we may forward news to you about third party events that may interest you.
5. Since the previous 1998 Data Protection Act, the application form for joining the Club has included the following statement, I agree that the above details can be stored on the Bristol Music Club Database address list.
6. Members who joined before 1998 have never raised any objection to identical personal data being held by the Club.
7. As an existing Club member, if you agree that we can continue to hold this information, you need take no further action.
8. If you wish to withdraw your consent to the Club holding all or part of your personal data please contact the Club Secretary by email or in writing.
9. This Privacy Notice was approved by the Club Committee on the 17th May, 2018.
