Dear Club Members,
Subscriptions Please note that subscriptions are due on 1st January 2020 and where applicable there has been an INCREASE IN THE KEY RENTAL. Adults £43, Couples £60, Country Members £38, Country Couples £55 and Juniors (under 18) £6, Corporate membership £55, key rental where applicable £20. Please would you let Brian or me have your subscription as soon as possible in the New Year to avoid reminders having to be sent out. For any Member who would like to pay by B.A.C.S. the details are : – Santander UK plc, Bristol Music Club, Sort Code 09-01-51, Account Number 06179403. Please would you notify Brian Burdock that you have paid so that he can keep his records up to date. For members who already pay by standing order please check with your bank that the correct amount is being paid.
Disabled Lift Unfortunately some members are pushing the emergency red stop button, either on the top post, in the lift itself or on the bottom wall by entrance door. The up and down lights then flash on the control panels stopping the lift from working. Brian or myself then have to come and reset everything for it to work again. Please do not touch any of the buttons. Because of this problem we are currently leaving it turned off and turning it on for club evenings and hirings.
Associated Board Exam Hiring When Associated Board are using the Club for their exams then the Club (Sauter in rear room) cannot be used under any circumstances. It has come to my notice through the Board’s representative that on several occasions some members have been trying to access the Club at about 5.00p.m. Please note that A. B. have exclusive use of the premises until 6.00p.m. providing they have finished examining. Associated Board are very important hirers of the Club and we cannot afford to upset them. This, of course, is applicable to all hirings. Please refer to the guidance notes.
New Website I have been working in conjunction with a post graduate student at Bristol University on a new website which would enable members to make their own bookings within the guidelines. He has been using this as a project for his course. It should become live during the Autumn term but I will email you when this happens and also of course how to use the system.
